June originally started making pots because she had a number of plants needing new homes. The plants eventually died, but pot making has continued.
After going to Kwantlen College, and taking many pottery workshops, June was employed at Place des Arts in Coquitlam from 1985 to 2007 where she taught classes, built a kiln and was the technician for the Art Centre, managing the Pottery Department. In 2007 she had surgery and after recovery decided to spend more time in her own studio.
She is a member of the B.C. Potters Guild and is currently President of the Tri City Pottery www.tricitypotters.ca.
