We are back
October 21, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
It is wonderful to be back and feel like a group again! Although members may have continued working, and even meeting safely together, some of us have felt the isolation caused by Covid 19. Facebook postings have helped but the inspiration that our monthly meetings provide is invaluable. So enjoy the great news listed below and seriously consider joining us as a new member or an old clay friend.
AGM – October 21, 2020, 7-9pm:
During a wonderful first meeting of the season in Gillian’s backyard (you can read all about it in Gillian’s blog https://www.gillianmcmillan.com/blog/2020/09/20/tricity-potters-and-some-news/), we decided to continue our meetings during COVID times through Zoom. So our first ever TCP-Zoom meeting, will also be our AGM.
The link for the meeting will be sent to members a few days before, so, if you are not yet a member, this would be the perfect time to join, especially because of the information below:
The fee will remain at $35 but for the 2020/21 year a $15 discount will be applied as our programming will be significantly limited due to the Covid pandemic. This means there is only a $20 fee for 2020/21! If you have not yet paid the membership fee to Sue (our treasurer) during the September meeting, please mail a check to her at:
627 McCartney Close,
North Vancouver, V7H 2H1
Your receipt will be sent to you by email. If you are a new member, please include your email address with your cheque.
Fundraiser for PoMoArts
As the Covid pandemic has been hard on all of the arts & culture sector, we thought it would be nice to organize a TCP fundraising opportunity for PoMoArts – the centre that has graciously supported the TCP as host for our meetings. As a possible donation to PoMoArts, we encourage everyone to give one or a few mugs/pots to the centre to be sold for the holiday season.
If you would like to participate, Janice, from PoMoArts, would ideally like to receive any donated mugs/pots by November 8, 2020, although later donations would also be gratefully received. PoMoArts will take responsibility for taking pictures of the work, though they do ask the work to be priced by the artist. Information on collection procedures for donations will be given during the Zoom meeting on Wed. Oct 21st. and posted on our TCP Group Facebook page.
